Many special guests joined this musical endeavor, which went on to record history in Mark Van Allen's Music Pharm Studios outside of Stone Mountain, Georgia. What started out as a five-song demo turned out to be a sixteen-song concept album and of all things, love is the concept revealed.
Special guests included: Steve Warren, Guitar; Kofi Burbridge, Flute; Mark Van-Allen, Pedal Steel; Dr. Mark McKnight, Drums; Regan Taylor, Fender Rhoads Keyboard; Rev. Jeff Mosier, Banjo; Kerry Dew, Vocals; Dennis Marion, Trumpet; Van Battle, Trombone, and Kenny Hamilton, Saxophone.
Vassar Clements blessed the record with his fiddle and wisdom.
Buddy Miles played drums on ten original songs. He also sang on three originals and concluded with a captivating tribute to an old friend, the legendary Jimi Hendrix. It's Johnny's slide and Buddy's voice on "Angel" written by Hendrix, which may make you cry, the cry of love.
